Miguel's vision is to be able to disseminate the wine culture of the region to the world. To achieve this, Miguel draws from 40-years-plus of experience in the elaboration of wines & vermouths in the region, adapting traditional formulas to the new times and technologies.

The winery was founded in 1879 in Cacabelos - El Bierzo (León), a region located in the northwest of Spain steeped with century-old vineyards. Its founder, Mr. Antonio Guerra, understood the potential of the old vineyard and its indigenous varieties -- Mencía and Godello. In 1963, he joined the newly founded Vinos del Bierzo, a cooperative equipped with the latest technology from France. After more than 140 years, thanks to the effort and dedication of our winegrowers, we continue to pay respect to our origins and offering a range of wines & vermouths that preserves and represents our main treasure -- the largest area of old BIERZO vineyards.
