Domaine Coudoulis

Our Story

When Bernard Callet bought the estate in 1996, he knew the strength and character of this fabulous soil, but he had to show patience and attention.

For ten years he was there every day to learn the job, understand the terroir and accept its demands. After 10 years Bernard Callet decided to bring Patrick Hilaire onboard, a cellar master who had worked on the most famous vineyards. The two men set the fundamentals of the philosophy of Domaine Coudoulis which is to always listen to the vine and be sincere and take responsibility for their choices.

Every year the wines are rewarded with generous accolades and awards on the international stage. It is not a matter of chance. It takes the search for perfection, not stressing the vines, the use of traditional know-how and the minimal use of technology that guarantees the production of great wines.

Now Domaine Coudoulis is recognized as one of the pearls of the Rhône Valley.

Located east of the famous appellation of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Coudoulis is a 28 hectares property on a terrace overlooking the village of Saint-Laurent-Des-Arbres and its medieval castle. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Cinsault are planted on the superb pebble ground which is conducive to creating exceptional cuvées.
