Winemaker Vision
Harking back to Spain's wine origins, we use indigenous varieties and blends of Verdil, Merseguera, Tardana, Macabeo, Monastrell, Bobal, Tempranillo, and Garnacha. Neleman’s vineyards, are in the hills to the east of Valencia at Casas del Rey. They are on small land terraces surrounded by olive and almond trees and Parque Natural de las Hoces del Cabriel, Unesco Biosphere Reserve. Overseen and tended by Spanish master organic winemaker Diego Fernández Pons, the vines have been carefully planted to reap the best from the soil that gives such foundation and heart. Our wines are modern with no excessive oak or over-mature overtones. Balance, warmth, richness and freshness are paramount. Elegance is always the ambition, and passion -- the most sought-after quality of all.
Terroir
A landscape of river banks and crags. The home of Neleman wines is the Natural Park Hoces del Cabriel, located in the area around the Cabriel River that separates the regions of Castile-La Mancha and Valencia. The Nature Reserve's unique landscape features rivers and geological formations, such as crags and gorges, which make it the perfect habitat for river wildlife and birds of prey. It has been declared a Special Bird Protection Area (SPA). This is where we get inspiration for our wines.
