Growing organic grapes and low intervention in the winery. We aim to create unique wines while building a more sustainable ecosystem. We also preserve and revitalize old native grapes and ancestral traditions such as the Amphora (Talha) Wines that have been in Alentejo for over 2000 years.
In Alentejo, we are in Vidigueira which is the northeast point of the called "Down Alentejoj". This is limited by the Mountain of Mendro that captures and captives the slight sea breeze that provided extra freshness to the region. In Lisbon, the vineyard is 10 miles away from the ocean so constant ocean influence makes these wines mineral and fresh. In Dour,o we have altitude which again provides the freshness and balance we search for in our wines.
Winery was founded by the current owner Catarina Vieira. We practice low intervention, focused on our native grapes, trying to show and enhance the potential and diversity of the numerous local grapes Portugal has to offer.
