Winemaker Vision
Make amazing wines by using and enhancing the flavours nature gives us through minimal intervention and judicious oak aging.
Terroir
The Salentein vineyards are between 1100-1600 meters in elevation on the East side of the Andes mountains. This rain shaded area is very dry and snow melt is used to irrigate the vines. The warm long days, dry air and intense sunlight combined with cool nights give us an ideal climate for growing high quality sustainable wines.
About the Winery
Salentein started in 1995 in the Uco Valley, at the time, a high elevation desert, but today is considered to be the best wine growing region in Argentina. Supported by our high elevation vineyards we are able to grow distinct high quality sustainable wines. We strive to express our terroir by using minimal intervention winemaking.
