Nancy Walker, a California native, has had the luxury of working as a winemaker in California for years.

Through her travels, Nancy has developed an appreciation for the regional and local differences that each unique vineyard produces. She brings that experience into Bar Dog wines.

California has an ideal climate for growing wine grapes, thanks to the warm days, cool nights and ample sunshine. The California AVA (American Viticultural Area) showcases a range of microclimates across the diverse sub-AVAs within the state, which make some parts of the state ideal for Pinot Noir, while other areas favor Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. California has it all!

Almost every family has a dog or dreams of having one. The creator of Bar Dog Wines, Terry Wheatley, runs an S&P 500 company, Vintage Wines Estates (VWE), during the week - but on weekends, she escapes to her ranch in Central California, where her husband, a former world-champion professional rodeo cowboy, raises horses. Most, if not all, ranches have ranch dogs, and the Wheatley ranch dog is a beloved Boston Terrier. When Terry came up with the idea of Bar Dog Wines, she was thinking about her family dog and yours, so she created impeccable Wine For Humans that love dogs.
